Pronounced, Smit-ticks. It is Irelands oldest ale, first brewed almost 300 years ago. It is produced in Ireland's oldest working brewery, St. Fancis Abbey, and has been since 1710. After hundreds of years in Ireland, it finally arrived in the US in 2003. All Smithwick's Irish Ale sold in the US is brewed in Ireland. A clean, refreshing ale that balances bittering hops and roasted barley for a flavor that mixes a slightly sweet malt with moderate bitterness, all natural according to the goodness of Guinness draught. The famous amber color comes from the specially roasted barley. ABV: 4.5%
